Real Slates in Wandsworth 3/18/2016
At Ash Island lofts we have an opening to fresh and new ideas. Recently we have decided to encourage customers to use real slates on the face and cheeks for their loft conversion. The reasons why - slates offer a natural impermeability allowing the water to consistently run off their surface. Their aesthetic effect is less "shiny' and more of a matt-finish. Because of their smaller size compared to plastic slates, our roofers use more slates which are then fitted tightly and compact together not allowing water to leak into any grouting or gaps. It really is a natural finish! With more slates used on the side of your conversion and at no extra cost it really is great value for money!
